Certificate III in Rual Operations
Course Overview
This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for general job roles in agriculture, conservation land management and other related rural industries.
Depending on the units selected individuals can be employed not only in the agriculture industry but also other rural and regional sectors, and community organisations.
Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors and may include:
- Machinery operator
- Vegetable/orchard worker
- Station hand
- Animal care worker
- Pastoral worker
- Animal attendant/stockperson
- Rural services.
Individuals with this qualification perform tasks under broad supervision involving a broad range of skills that are applied in a variety of contexts, which will involve discretion and judgement in selecting and operating equipment, coordinating resources and applying contingency measures during work.
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
16 units of competency:
- 3 core units plus
- 13 elective units.

Course Inclusions:
- Training will be conducted by one of our experienced trainer / assessors who have industry currency and supported by a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
- Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant.
- 12 months of training. Up to 12 trainees per course.
Participants must
Be at least 15 years of age
Equipment requirements
We supply all equipment necessary for you to undertake training in training centre
Certain training equipment may be required for some units, please contact us to discuss.
For our public courses at our purpose-built training facility trainees must provide:

Appropriate clothing, closed-in footwear.
Certification:
Students who are assessed as competent will receive a Qualification recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The qualification is issued by Australian Operator Training (RTO 41351).
